Hosting and access data

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes technical access information, including requested pages, access time, referrer, browser and operating system. IONOS states that visitor data is anonymised on collection and retained for eight weeks, including server-side IONOS WebAnalytics reporting. Processing serves our legitimate interest in a secure and stable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. IONOS acts as a processor; the processing agreement forms part of the hosting contract.

Contact enquiries

When you contact us, we process your name, company, email address and any optional information about your topic and challenge. The form sends the information over HTTPS to our web server, which forwards it by email to info@cwtechconsult.com. No separate message database is maintained on the web server. Recipients are Christian Wiest and the IONOS services used for hosting and email. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, or our legitimate interest in answering other enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). Acknowledging this notice is not consent to advertising; no newsletter subscription is created.

Retention and abuse prevention

Enquiries are deleted when processing is complete unless further retention is needed to perform a contract, defend legal claims or meet statutory obligations. To limit abusive form submissions and login attempts, IP addresses are pseudonymised using a secret key. Temporary limits and replay-protection records expire after no more than 30 minutes and are removed on the next access to the relevant protection store. They do not contain message content. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies, consent and external services

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads are currently disabled. No Google tracking scripts are loaded. Your cookie-settings choice is stored locally in your browser for 180 days and can be changed in the footer. The protected content editor uses session cookies necessary for sign-in. There are no embedded LinkedIn, map or appointment-booking services; external links contact the relevant provider only when clicked. Images and fonts are served from our own webspace.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Consent may be withdrawn with effect for the future. Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Contact info@cwtechconsult.com to exercise these rights. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

Appointment booking with Calendly

First-conversation buttons open an external booking page provided by Calendly LLC (USA) in a new tab. Visiting our website alone does not connect to Calendly. On the booking page, Calendly processes information including your name, email address, selected appointment and optional details to schedule the conversation. Bookings are added to the connected Microsoft calendar and Teams provides the meeting link. Processing a pre-contractual enquiry is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The calendar integration supports scheduling and conflict checks; visitors cannot see private calendar entries. The automatic Calendly Notetaker is disabled.

Calendly also processes booking data in the United States. Processing and international transfers are governed by the Data Processing Addendum incorporated into its customer terms and the Standard Contractual Clauses it includes. Calendly processes data for its own website and account purposes under its privacy notice. Information is retained only as long as needed to handle the appointment and enquiry or meet legal obligations. Alternatively, contact us through our form or by email.
